Creator and President of Etiqueta Negra, a top menswear brand in the Argentine market which is currently achieving international reach by opening its first shop in New York's Soho neighborhood.  Other Etiqueta Negra stores will open soon in Paris and Milan.

Federico Alvarez Castillo got his start in the fashion industry working for a textile company in Argentina.  He later went on to create his own company: FAC TM S.A.  Between 1980 and 1995, he developed and launched well regarded brands within Argentina including Mango, Soviet, Motor Oil, Bowen and Paula Cahen d´Anvers.

In addition to the fashion industry, Mr. Alvarez Castillo has also made his mark in graphic and industrial design.  His design company, ULM, was very active during 1995 to 1998 during which he redesigned the “Renault 19” collection and created “Car One”, a company which has become an industry leader and authority in the used car market in Argentina.

From 1998 to 2003, Mr. Alvarez Castillo was CEO of International Brand Group (IBG), Argentina's largest fashion conglomerate managing both international (Emporio Armani, Polo Ralph Lauren, Lacoste and Kenzo) and domestic clothing lines (Paula Cahen d´Anvers and Coniglio).

Recently, his passion for design has grown to include architecture projects and interior design.  Federico, together with his company, Evolución 3, has designed and developed San Isidro Loft –a luxury residential community in Buenos Aires. In addition, he is currently designing a country club and polo club in the international beach destination, Punta del Este, Uruguay, which is anticipated to be the most prestigious club in the region.
 
Federico is married to designer, Paula Cahen d´Anvers and has 3 children. His love of design, art and classic cars is expressed through his Etiqueta Negra stores which regularly display pieces from his private collection.
Head designer for the Etiqueta Negra women's collection.  Paula got her start in the world of fashion in 1983 with the creation of VIA VAI, the iconic Argentine brand from the 1980s known for its innovative designs.

Ten years later, she created her own fashion brand, Paula Cahen d´Anvers, which was acquired in 1998 by Exxel Investment Group and remains a leader in the Argentine womenswear market.
 
Formally trained in Interior Design, Paula has always been interested in the world of fashion and design.  As a hobby, she pursues her artistic talent through her painting and porcelain work.

Founding partner and CFO of Etiqueta Negra. From 1991 to 1993, Juan was responsible for sales, marketing, sourcing, logistics and planning for the local Argentine brand, VIA VAI.

From 1993 to 2002, he was partner and General Manager of the Paula Cahen d´Anvers brand, a renowned women's fashion company based in Buenos Aires. At this time he was also the General Manager for the Polo Ralph Lauren licenses in Argentina and Brazil.  

In 2003, Juan helped launch Etiqueta Negra, the leading Argentine menswear brand which has recently opened its first stateside store in New York´s SoHo neighborhood.

Juan is married and has 4 children.  He is an avid polo player and has been playing the sport since he was a kid.

He studied Fashion Design at Universidad de Buenos Aires. From 1997 to 2000 he worked for the local footwear brand Grimoldi. From 200 to 2002 he worked as accessories designer for Paula  Cahen d´Anvers. He is Head of the development for thr Etiqueta Negra brand since 2002.

He is single and a fan of artistic illustration.
